Tina Tombrock
Biography
I was born in Germany in 1957 and grew up in a family of artists and theatre people. My work consists of sculpting, building and forming faces and figures, mainly in clay. The basis of my work is my background as a creator of masks and sculptures for the theatre. I often find inspiration for my sculptures and masks in my vivid interest in the art and history of all sorts of different cultures. I reach down into the depth of my fantasy world and so my work is also the experience of another universe. I am also powered, too, by the events and experience of my life.
